Vivo is gearing for an action-packed October with not one, not two, but three big announcements in tow. The Chinese smartphone major is ringing into the month beginning with the India launch of the Vivo V60e before it takes things up a notch with the global release of Origin OS and launch of the flagship Vivo X300 series. Vivo has announced the V60e is headed to India on October 7, 2025.
As is often the case, Vivo has started hyping the product on its website and social media. The full design of the phone in question is out leaving little to the imagination ahead of launch. The V60e looks largely identical to the Vivo V60 which is to say that it has a curved chassis and an iPhone 16/17-like vertical camera deco. You can expect it to be extremely thin and light even though the exact dimensions haven’t been announced yet. Vivo will once again be beating physics by putting a massive – 6,500mAh – battery inside its upcoming phone. The V60e is also in line to support 90W fast charging, and a compliant charger should come in the box.
The other big highlight of the Vivo V60e is its camera setup. The phone has a 200-megapixel “Ultra HD clarity” primary camera with optically stabilised lens that – per vivo – will allow for 85mm “closeup” portraits and an exclusive “AI Festival Portrait” mode. There is no dedicated telephoto on this phone. The secondary camera is an 8-megapixel ultrawide while on the front, it has another 50-megapixel selfie camera with Vivo’s signature eye autofocus tech onboard.
The Vivo V60e will come in a choice of Noble Gold and Elite Purple, Vivo has announced. The phone is said to have “top-grade” durability with IP68 and IP69 certifications for dust and water resistance along with “full body drop protection.”
The V60e is sequel to the V50e which is currently listed for Rs 26,999 (8GB/128GB) on Vivo India website. As far as first impressions go, the V60e seems like a step-up mostly with its higher-resolution camera and bigger battery. More details will become clear closer to and post launch which isn’t that far away now.
After the V60e, Vivo will announce Origin OS for global markets, India included, on October 15. On October 13, it will launch the X300 series in China.
