As OnePlus is set to launch its next-generation smartphones later this year, according to recent leaks on the internet, a new device has surfaced, and it appears to be the new OnePlus 15. The image showcased a new design on the rear end of the phone and a new colourway.
This weekend in China, a group of e-sports champions gathered for a group shot around a new OnePlus device at the 2025 Peace Elite League (PEL) Summer Finals. Through an unknown tipster, the Weibo post’s “guess what they’re looking at” query is a very overt teaser for the OnePlus 15.
With a squarish camera module that has two primary sensors in a pill-shaped module, and while a third camera and LED flash are positioned separately within the island, the leaked picture closely resembles the appearance of the OnePlus 13s. After sticking with the circular camera design for three generations, they seem to be bringing back their pill-shaped camera design.
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 CPU, the latest Qualcomm mobile flagship that will be released later this month, is also rumoured to power the phone, making it one of the first wave of Android flagships.
The OnePlus 15 may include a 6.78-inch LTPO screen with a refresh rate of 165 Hz and a resolution of 1.5K, which is a decrease from the OnePlus 13’s QHD+ resolution. According to rumours, the OnePlus 15 may include a 7,000 mAh battery that supports 50W wireless charging and 120W cable fast charging.
The OnePlus 15 is also anticipated to have a 50MP triple-camera configuration with a telephoto lens that supports 3x optical zoom. The OnePlus 15 will employ an internal engine known as the DetailMax Engine in place of the Hasselblad branding found on earlier models.
The OnePlus 15 may be the company’s first smartphone to run the OxygenOS 16 operating system based on Android 16, which is predicted to have a new user interface.
According to previous reports, the OnePlus 15 will come in titanium, black, and purple. However, the most recent picture shows the flagship handset in white.
The previous OnePlus 13 and 13R were launched in January this year. The OnePlus 13 is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, and both models feature a triple-camera setup, with the OnePlus 13 having three 50 MP shooters and the OnePlus 13R having a 50 MP wide-angle camera.
Both have a premium glass-metal sandwich design and an IP69/68 water and dust resistance rating. The OnePlus 13R and OnePlus 13 run on Android 15-based OxygenOS 15, incorporating OnePlus AI and Google-specific AI capabilities. Both phones have a 6,000 mAh battery and support up to 50W wireless charging. OnePlus has also introduced magnetic accessories, including a 5,000 mAh wireless power bank, a 50W magnetic charger, and a sandstone magnetic case.
