TV stars Sandeep Baswana and Ashlesha Sawant, who have shared a life together for over 23 years, have finally made their bond official by getting married. Sandeep and Ashlesha tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony on November 16 at the Chandrodaya temple in Vrindavan.
We are filled with gratitude for all the blessings
The couple announced their wedding on social media and shared a beautiful post with a series of photos. Describing their special day as full of gratitude and happiness, the couple shared pictures on their Instagram account. They captioned the photos as, “And just like that, we stepped into a new chapter as Mr & Mrs…Tradition found its way into our hearts. We are filled with gratitude for all the blessings.
As soon as they shared photos from the wedding, their friends and well-wishers flooded the comments section with congratulatory messages. Ashleshas Jhanak co-star wrote, I CANTTTT YOU GUYS ARE SO BEAUTIFUL Anjum Fakih also congratulated the couple, Heartiest Mubaraka to both. Twinning in pink
In the pictures, Sandeep and Ashlesha are seen twinning in pink. For her special day, Ashlesha wore a pink saree, pink dupatta. She enhanced her look with simple golden jewellery and kept her makeup subtle. Sandeep complimented Ashlesha and wore a pink kurta pyjama with nehru coat and pink pagdi. The actor looked handsome in the pink traditional avatar.
Sandeep: Our parents are the happiest
After the wedding, the couple spoke to Bombay Times and expressed their happiness. Sandeep shared, “Ashlesha and I visited the Vrindavan in April and felt a deep connect with the Radha Krishna temples there. That trip inspired us to get married after being together for 23 years. Our parents are the happiest — they’ve been waiting for this for a long time. We wanted to keep it simple, and what better than getting married in a Lord Krishna temple.”
Ashlesha: It was an organic, sudden decision
Ashlesha added, “I feel extreme happiness and gratitude that I am finally married to the love of my life. Vrindavan was the ideal place — we felt a deep connection when we visited. It was an organic, sudden decision, and we chose to keep it private with just our families.”
In my mind, Ashlesha and I were always married
Sandeep joked, “We were tired of answering questions about why we weren’t getting married despite being together for so many years. In my mind, Ashlesha and I were always married.” On how it feels to be married, he said, “I don’t feel anything different. It was something we were going to do someday, and it finally happened. We’re happy, and overwhelmed by the love and blessings.” She added, We feel blessed because we are receiving a lot of love from our friends and well-wishers.
