SS Rajamouli’s epic ‘Baabubali’ saga was re-released in theatres, celebrating the franchise’s 10 monumental years. Released as ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, the movie was a refined and re-edited part of the ‘Baahubali: The Beginning’ and Baahubali: The Conclusion clubbed together into a single masterpiece. After its roaring theatrical run for a re-release, the movie is now gearing up for an OTT release.
OTT release details
The OTT rights of ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ have been bought by OTT giant Netflix. The movie is set for a 3-hour and 43-minute runtime, which is set to hit the digital screens on Thruday which is 25th December, making it a perfect Christmas holiday treat for fans. The film is anticipated to be released in multiple languages.

Speaking of the collection of the re-release, ‘Baahubali: The Epic’, the movie, as per trade analyst Sacnilk, made over Rs 33.48 crore in India and also Rs 51.72 crore worldwide, making it one of the most successful re-releases this year, which hit the theatres on October 31. Speaking of the big numbers collected by both films during their original release. ‘Baahubali The Beginning’ minted over Rs 650 crore globally, and the second part elevated the films grandness as it made over Rs 1788 crore.
Plot of ‘Baahubali’
The film tells the story of a young man from a tribal village who discovers that he is of royal heritage after he climbs a huge waterfall. Later, the plot thickens when he understands that he is Mahendra Baahubali son of noble and powerful prince Amrendra Baahubali who was betrayed and killed by his jealous uncle Bhallaladeva.
The ‘Baahubali’ franchise features Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannaah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, and Nassar in key roles.
Interestingly, at the end of ‘Baahubli: The Epic’, a teaser of another saga from the franchise was shown, which will be the upcoming 3D animated film ‘Baahubali: The Eternal War – Part 1’.
